I’m looking forward to the days when I can freely wear skirts again, without having to worry about freezing legs or holes in my tights. At the moment it seems like a faraway future, but at least it’s officially Spring now, so that’s definitely a start. Though, fickle as the London weather is, you do get the odd sunny day with warm temperatures, and that’s when I had the chance to wear my favourite bomber jacket and midi skirt combination. This bomber jacket is one of the few items in my wardrobe I couldn’t live without. Bought on my trip to Berlin last Summer with Emma, I remember my hesitation as I wasn’t meant to do any shopping. Still, I liked it so much, I bought it and I’m glad I did. It’s so versatile and the perfect transitional jackets. I styled it with a grey turtleneck shirt and my new ASOS midi skirt. I’m quite a fan of midi skirts at the moment and I quite liked the zip detail on this one. Plus, I feel like the zip ties in the outfit nicely together, making the combination of bomber jacket and midi skirt the perfect mix of smart and casual.
Marie from Glitter Everywhere mentioned in her post Fashion Habits that she feels as though her outfits all look quite similar, as she usually styles skinny jeans with a jumper and a button up shirt. Personally, I don’t think it’s a problem. Doesn’t it just means she found the style that matches her the best? Or maybe I’m just defending her because I feel the same about my outfit choices. While I might not necessarily opt for the same combinations all the time, but I do have a few favourite items that I seem to wear all the time. And there’s only so many combinations you can create with a handful of pieces, right? Oh, well, I think everyone should wear what they like and what they feel comfortable in, and all is good.
