You know that feeling, when you finally find something you’ve been looking for for ages? It’s much easier when that something is more specific, like a vintage Chanel bag or that candy you used to love when you were a child. In my case, I have this list of certain styles of clothes or accessories that I like. It’s not like when I see this beautiful grey leather jacket by Acne and it’s just not available in my size. It’s more this feeling of “I like the look of a grey leather jacket, but need to find one that suits and fits me”. One of those things are maxi dresses.
I really like the look of maxi dresses, I think they are beautiful, but I’ve never found one that really suited me. Most were made out of such a thin material, they just accentuated the wrong areas and didn’t look good on me at all. So I was extremely excited when I saw this knitted maxi dress on a mannequin. Since it’s a knitted maxi dress it’s much more flattering thanks to the heavier material and the texture. I’m also loving the side slits that make it much easier to move around. I made use of the warm temperatures recently, and wore it out to my lunch date with Emma at Sake No Hana (where you can also see a jacket-less shot of the dress) together with my new mules (more of an impulse purchase, but one I don’t regret). Combined with my vintage Levis jacket, I think it makes for a day time look, mixing elegant and down-to-earth vibes.
